We have been sourcing the fresh ginger directly from a farmers' cooperative for many years, with whom we have a long-term partnership.

Peru offers good conditions for ginger: Cultivation at higher altitudes (around 1000 m above sea level) and mineral-rich soils of volcanic origin. This can result in a particularly intense aroma.

Special Pungency and Aroma

The spiciness and typical ginger aroma are created by natural ingredients such as essential oils, gingerols and shogaols. It is precisely this combination that gives Peruvian ginger its spicy, pungent taste and clear citrus note that many people like.

Ben's Ginger Recipe

Our recipes balance the ginger spiciness with selected additional notes - without ginger pieces or irritating threads.
